About Study Hall

History

Study Hall was established in 1990 in order to provide high‑quality, low‑cost, no‑nonsense tutoring to North County San Diego-area students. Study Hall soon became a community resource endorsed by parents, teachers, and guidance counselors alike.

We are now expanding to serve the needs of students in the greater San Diego area.

Methodology

Study Hall hires only the most experienced and enthusiastic tutors. All have demonstrated strong teaching skills and proficiency in their subjects.

Unlike other tutoring centers, Study Hall is both practical and affordable. No appointments are necessary. Tutors are always on hand to help students with homework assignments, test preparation, long‑term projects, study skills, and enrichment exercises. Since Study Hall is open from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, we can accommodate students who are involved in sports or other after‑school activities. Our affordable rate plans and flexible schedule allow students to receive the tutoring they need at times and on a budget convenient and affordable for both themselves and their families.

Procedures

When a student enrolls at Study Hall, a meeting takes place between the parents/guardians, student, and Study Hall directors. The purpose of this meeting is to make sure everyone agrees on the goals to be achieved (both long and short-term) and what part each person must play in order to be successful.

Study Hall students may attend for as many hours per day as their plan permits. Study Hall has a “buffet-style” system which allows students to receiving tutoring as their schedules permit.

Study Hall USA is GLOBAL!! We are the only tutoring program in the world that offers ONSITE AND ONLINE tutoring in all subjects AND for SAT, ACT and other test preparation!!

Effective April 15, 2008, we are offering students all over the United States and around the world the same tutoring program that we operate successfully all over the San Diego, California area.

Now students who can't make it to our San Diego locations, or who simply prefer to study from their home or school dorm computer, can experience LIVE INTERACTIVE tutoring.

It's just like sitting across the table from your tutor. In fact, we offer you the same tutors - the tutors that effectively educate students from all over San Diego.
